Will a Rex Nordic heater work with a standard North American outlet?
Yes — heaters sold in the US and Canada run on standard 120 V power and draw only about 80 W, because the electricity only runs the fuel pump and controls.
How much does it cost to run?
At full output the AH-810i uses 0.50–0.58 gal of diesel per hour — about $1.75–$2.00/h at $3.50/gal. The built-in thermostat cycles the burner, so holding a set temperature typically costs significantly less.
Do diesel infrared heaters smell?
Rex Nordic's triple-combustion burner is designed for odor-free, flue-free operation — no kerosene smell. Always follow the manual's ventilation guidance indoors.
How loud is it?
48 dB — about a quiet conversation. Torpedo heaters are far louder because of the high-speed fan and open combustion.
What size heater do I need?
