Combustion gases circulate through ceramic-coated pipelines inside the unit, generating infrared (radiant) heat that warms objects and people directly rather than just heating the air. No. Complete combustion inside the unit means no separate exhaust piping is required in most working environments such as garages, workshops, warehouses, marquees, and terraces. Exhaust piping is only necessary if the heater is to be used in sleeping quarters or spaces with very limited ventilation.

Use standard #2 diesel or renewable diesel (HVO/R99). Below 50 °F (10 °C), switch to winter-grade diesel to prevent fuel gelling and ensure reliable ignition.

Yes. Every Rex Nordic heater includes an LED control panel, a remote control, and built-in WiFi as standard. Control it via the Rex Nordic App (available for Android and iOS) to adjust temperature, timers and settings from anywhere in range — and it works fully offline too, if you prefer.

Fuel consumption varies by model and heat setting. As a guide at full output: the AH-210i uses about 0.25 gal/h, the AH-310i about 0.30 gal/h, and the AH-810i 0.50–0.58 gal/h. The thermostat cycles the burner once your space is at temperature, so real-world consumption is typically much lower — for example, the AH-210i uses only about 0.66 gal (2.5 L) per day when heating an 18,000 ft³ space at 59°F (15°C) with 32°F (0°C) outside. A mild odour may occur during the initial start-up and shut-down cycle due to brief periods of incomplete fuel atomisation. This is normal and not hazardous. During steady operation, a properly maintained Rex Nordic heater produces no noticeable odour.

Yes. Annual maintenance is mandatory for the warranty to remain valid on Rex Nordic heaters. This service includes replacing the oil filter, nozzle, and gaskets. Rex Nordic recommends using authorized service partners. Maintenance kits and spare parts are available from our North American warehouses.
